There are three basic components in any RFID tracking system.
- Tags
The Protrac iD UHF tag is the heart of the Protrac iD RFID system. All tags are active tags, and can remain active 24 hours 7 days a week throughout their long working life. Tags are manufactured UV stabilised, and are ultrasonically sealed against moisture and dust. Tag transmissions can be received at distances of up to 50 meters and are unaffected by materials in the surrounding environment. Protrac iD manufactures tags for vehicles, large and small assets and tracking. - Receivers
The receiver or reader is a critical part of the system, logging each tag as it enters it’s active area. Readers can be fixed or portable, depending on the application. - Software
Protrac iD’s AssetTrac software is the brain of the system, designed to monitor, track and position portable and fixed assets, plant, premises and people. The software is fully scalable either operated from one location and a single PC or incorporated in a LAN/WAN spanning hundreds of sites.
