The way RFID tracking works is simple. By fixing a tag that sends out a constant radio signal to any asset, vehicle or person and setting up a fixed receiver at any point in its path, it is possible to log the tag at that point, 24 hours 7 days a week.
Alternatively, the tags can be static, perhaps at a gateway, and vehicles fitted with portable receivers will log each tag as they pass.
